From the childhood images: my mother brought me, then a 10 years old boy, to the village in the mountain and forest area of the Crimea. Outing to the forest, the very first one in my life.
— “Ozhina”, what is it?
— Blackberries. Taste them!
This taste of blackberries and forest strawberries, of fresh-backed bread and of milk fresh from the cow will be remembered by me, probably, forever. As well as the feeling of sheer happiness from the discovery of the world, completely different from the one in the city.
Then an image from the student youth. Hiking trip. With every step bringing me into the world of ancient mountain village. Right there — a minaret, preserved by some kind of miracle near the building of mosque. Over there – an old bridge over a mountain river. Here is the Bolshoy (Grand) Canyon – the kingdom of vertical lines and hovering over them martins.
Then later I also learnt about man-planted forest on dunes, “fruit paradise”, mysterious “cave towns»…
Holidays of this type you can enjoy in coastal and mountain villages of the Crimea, away from noisy hustle of cities and carnival bustle of southern coast.
In Europe this kind of tourism is known as rural or green one. It is developing successfully and recent years see that more and more tourists prefer remote countryside to Mediterranean coastline.
Crimea enjoys strong traditions of the rural tourism too: in resent years residents of big cities – those who know the taste of real holidays — more and more often come to the quiet villages in the coastal, foothill, mountain and forest areas of the Crimea.
Holidaymakers are grateful for cordial welcome, hospitality and possibility for their children to drink milk fresh from the cow and eat sweet cherries straight from the tree. Hiking in the scenic neighborhood, gathering mushrooms and berries, hunting and fishing –all these pleasures are available at very moderate rates or even completely free, just for a word of gratitude, while give our guests an opportunity to have full value holidays, improve health and to get new, extremely pleasant impressions from their holidays in the Crimea.
